From 't Harde you are at our workshop on Uiterwaardenstraat in Elburg in less than ten minutes; both places are in the same municipality. So for modifying your engine software you do not have to head toward Zwolle or Apeldoorn.

What can ECU tuning do besides more power?

A diesel that accelerates more smoothly, a company van that pulls better fully loaded or with a trailer, or a car that stays lower in the revs on the highway: it is all in the same engine software. Of the people who call us from this area, only some mainly want extra power. So tell us what you use the car for, and we tune the setup to that.

How long does a session take?

About two hours. We read the software out of the ECU, via the OBD port or directly on the control unit, and first set aside a copy of the original. Then we adjust the parameters within the margins the manufacturer itself maintains, because you still have to drive it for years. After flashing, a test drive follows, in which we look at turbo pressure, mixture, lambda sensor and measured air mass under full load.

Rather be at the controls yourself?

Then bootmod3 is the route for BMW drivers: with it you flash your car from your phone or laptop and switch between maps yourself. We supply the bootmod3 licenses and hardware and do the DME bench unlock that newer engine computers need before you can get started yourself.

What else is possible?
