What is paint correction?
Paint correction is polishing away wash scratches, swirls and dull spots in stages, from a coarser to an ever finer polish. Before the machine touches the paint, the car is already thoroughly clean: first a pre-wash, then washing by hand and where needed a clay treatment that loosens sap, tar, rail dust and insect remains. Only on clean paint can you see which scratches are really in it.
Do all scratches come out?
Wash scratches and light swirls disappear completely, deep scratches that reach into the primer do not. We do make those much less visible by polishing the edges smooth. We tell you honestly in advance what is achievable, so there are no surprises.
Why a coating after polishing?
Freshly polished paint is unprotected, which is why we finish with a coating or top layer. Dirt and water then stick less quickly and the gloss lasts longer. Which layer fits depends on the color, the condition of the paint and whether the car is kept indoors or outdoors.
The interior can be included in the same appointment
If you want the inside fresh too, we vacuum everything into the seams, degrease the steering wheel, gear lever and door handles, and clean the upholstery, leather or fabric. We remove smoke odor and animal hair.
Maintaining it yourself without new scratches
Most wash scratches happen at home, with a dirty sponge or the wrong cloth. In our detailing products from Labocosmetica and Koch Chemie you will find shampoo, a wash bucket with grit guard, wheel cleaner, glass cleaner and microfiber towels to hold on to the result.
