How do you get sap and insects off the paint without scratches?

By soaking them loose first and never rubbing dry. The pre-wash soaks off the coarse dirt, then the car is washed by hand and gone over with paint clay where needed, until the paint feels smooth again. If you rub sap or insects off dry with a sponge, you pull in scratches that only come out with the polishing machine.

How does sand really come out of the interior?

By vacuuming deeper than a regular session: into the seams of the seats, the gaps between the panels and the air vents. Sand settles down and otherwise simply reappears at the first corner. Then we make everything free of grease and dirt, with extra attention for the steering wheel, gear lever and door handles. Leather and fabric upholstery each get their own treatment, and we also remove dog hair after a forest walk or a stubborn smoke odor.

What if the paint has gone dull?

Then we polish it in stages, from coarse to fine, until the color is deep again. After that we apply protection, for example a ceramic coating, so sap and dirt stick less easily and the next wash goes faster.

What supplies do you need yourself after a drive through the woods?

Snow foam to soak dirt loose, a wash bucket with grit guard and microfiber towels that do not scratch open the paint. In our detailing products you will find the same products we work with, including Labocosmetica and Koch Chemie.
