Country roads along the Vecht leave their traces: sand and mud in the mats, dog hair in the trunk and insects on the front bumper. Once that has baked in, a regular wash no longer reaches it. We clean inside and out in one appointment, at our workshop in Elburg.

How do you get the interior clean again?

We vacuum the car completely, into the seams between the panels and the air vents, degrease everything you touch and clean the upholstery, leather or fabric. Sand out of the mats, crumbs out of the cup holders, hair out of the trunk. We also get out smoke odor and animal smells. We deliberately do the interior last, so no dust from the exterior work blows back into a clean car.

What happens to the exterior?

Outside, every session starts with a pre-wash and then washing by hand, because brushes and dirty sponges are the biggest cause of scratches. Where needed, clay goes over it to loosen insect remains, sap, tar and rail dust. Then we polish from coarse to fine until dull spots and scratches are gone, and finish with a protective layer so mud and insects come off more easily next time.

Do I need to set aside a day for it?

No, during the treatment you keep driving in a courtesy car. We plan the work in one appointment, discuss in advance what we will do and call if we run into anything. You drop off once and pick up once.

Maintaining it yourself between sessions

With the right supplies you hold on to the result without making new scratches. In our detailing products you will find what we work with ourselves: a wash bucket with grit guard, car shampoo, snow foam, wheel cleaner, glass cleaner and microfiber towels from Labocosmetica and Koch Chemie.
